Please, please keep these sweet children in your prayers.... we are overflowing here at Serving His Children!

Rachel is 11 years old. She just arrived last night, and we believe that she's suffering from Congenital heart disease. We are praying that God will give the Doctors here wisdom in her treatment….

Faleeda is 3 years old and has one of the worst cases of Kwashaco I've ever seen. But, along with her being incredibly malnourished, when they arrived, Faleeda’s mother was on the verge of dying from starvation. No exaggeration. They are both on the mend, but have a VERY long way to go!

Precious little Muhammad... On Tuesday this beautiful little boy went to be with Jesus. My heart is still attempting to heal.

Patricia is little a firecracker! She came to be us last week, and has improved and leaps and bounds since. Praise be to the one and only Healer!!!

Moreen and Ivan are 9 month old twins! Right now they are both so tiny and sickly. But, we’re hopeful that one day very soon they’ll be chubby little munchkins!

So, those are the newbies at my house... Thanks in advance for praying. We really need it!!!

  4. Praying for you, your helpers, and all of the precious children (and 1 Mom) you are working to help. Praying for strength to do what you need to do and for healing as you miss sweet Muhammad. Thank you so much for taking the time to share on this blog in the midst of so much work. God uses you to remind me all the time of where my focus MUST be.

  5. As our hearts are breaking, they are praying for these tiny people who are my brothers and sisters. I'm hoping we can do more...though prayer is not remotely a small thing.

  8. I am new to your blog, found your through Katie's (though I don't know her personally either.) I am fervently praying for you this morning, praying that every need be met and then some, praying for strength spiritually and physically, praying for wisdom in all the daily decisions you have to make, praying for good health to abound in your home and in the lives of the children you serve, praying for others to come along side in prayer and financial support. You are a sister in Christ and I can't turn away. Isn't it crazy how you can love someone you've never met? I am going to add you to my blog list so I can pray for you. I have four little girls at home and we are currently adopting from Ethiopia. Can't help but fall in love with the people of Uganda as well.

    Love,

  10. What beautiful and wonderful children. I will continue to keep them in my prayers. I realize how selfish I am when I see what you are doing and what these children are going through. Thank you for opening our eyes.

  11. I absolutely love seeing what God is continuing to do through His people. I have been following another blog http://www.kissesfromkatie.blogspot.com/ for a few years now and I am humbly heartbroken after every post; and I'm sure I will be after reading your posts as well. Thank you so much for sharing your journey through this amazing ministry. I will be praying for you and the precious children you are helping. Having been on a mission trip to South Africa, my heart is broken for the beautiful African people. Praying for strength, hope and healing.

  12. Jesus, meet every need that Renee has, both spoken and unspoken today and in days to come. Thank you for her ministry to the least of these. Give her joy, peace and a renewed strength that YOU always provide. We praise you for the lives you have given her to care for and we know that nothing is ever wasted. Amen.

You are on our family's prayer wall, girl. Hugs!

  14. Hello,
We were planning on adopting an HIV postive child from Ethiopia, but are praying about other locations. My 17 year old daughter is actually leaving for Uganda in less than two weeks with Dwight Saunders (www.aplacecalledsimplicity.blogspot.com.) I am wondering if any of the children you save ever become adoptable? If so, who would I inquire through.
    Thank you,
    Jenny
